OT: may have a new job soon
well, if anyone on here didnt know, since september, i have been interning part time(12:30-4:30) every mon-fri, with the mid-del school district. i got that job through the votech last year. we set it up for me so that i'm enrolled in the same class this year, get a grade for the class(A) but dont have to go to it. good thing is that i get a grade and get paid for it.
i'm working with computers, fixing problems, working on the network, adding users, and recently been training all the junior high teachers to use their new computers. anyways, its nice because i only go to 2 classes and then go to the job at 12:30. okay, back on topic... so the main guy i work with, Jim, he is the Network cordinator. he is the main network guy and messes with all of that stuff. he asked me the other day what i had planned after i graduate in may. i told him probably take some classes at rose state college(local college) and he asked me if i would be interested in working full time for the district after i graduate(8:30-4:30) and said that is what he has been trying to get done for me. so, with him saying that, there is a VERY Good chance i could have a good job soon. nice pay too |

Sounds like a GREAT opportunity, Eric. You've obviously shown them that you're a good worker. Sounds like you've got a great attitude about it as well. That kinda thing is worth alot - sometimes almost as much as job skill itself.
Let us know how it all works out for you in May. Just don't spend all the money on your truck - - yeah, whatever, right??? |

Good deal. Sounds like you may be one of a few teenagers with your head screwed on straight, or to put it bluntly, not up your rear.

Eric, that's what I've been doing for 3 years (since I've been out of high school basically). Trust me, You'll LOVE IT! Do you know EXACTLY what you'll be doing? Us younger guys, usually either get the tech center (working STRICTLY with computers) or Elementary school job's. If ya get lucky, maybe you can get to work back at your high school, score some numbers hahaha
Sweet deal dude, sweet deeeaal. |
