help installing kickdown cable
Im replacing the kickdown cable on my turbo 350 tranny and it looks like its gonna be a pain. Is there any trick to getting that little hook that it attaches to in the tranny out of the old cable and back into the new, and is a bunch of fluid gonna run out when i remove the old one?

Drop the pan and you'll be abble to hook it up no problem. May as well get a tranny filter kit while you're in there.
You can hook it from the hole it goes into, but you'll be under there for a few hrs and you'll invent new cuss words. |

pull the cable housing from the tranny, then pull the housing up on the cable exposing the inner cable and then pull the inner cable ......the small wire arm will come up out of the tranny hole exposing itslef, you can take a small pair of needle nose pliers, hold the wire and remove your old cable, install new cable.
If you dont drain it, you will get a large amount of fluid on the floor. when you pull the cable housing. |
