That holley is a nice street carb. You would be very happy with it. Should run right for you right out of the box. I have one that I would never sell.

Edelbrock for sure. Easy to tune, change jets, rods, rebuild etc. You can't beat it plus it holds a tune much better than a Holley.

Eric, this question is going to end up just like "which came first the chicken or the egg?" I think the board is almost evenly split between preferences of brands.

I really like the edelbrock 1406, now that I set it up and got rid of the crappy curve kit it my distributor, its a very noticable improvement over my q-jet.
Lets ask swerve what he thinks... I bet he's gonna lean towards a well tuned q-jet.

Hes a firm believer in Q-jets, and I agree that they're a great carb when set properly, but not many people are good enough to set one up so I went with something easier.

I was told Q-jet was short for Quadra-junk...true?
I myself prefer Holly carbs...but I am sure a properly tuned Edelbrock or Q-jet would be just the same.
