There were 2 styles of master cylinders. One made by Bendix and one is Delco Moraine. I was told they are interchangable. If that is the case, I doubt most parts stores would seperate each style with their own part number.

That is the exact same thing that they did to me, I have the one in your pic on my truck, it is the third one in the last 6 months and it leaks out of the top just like the other two. I beleive the one you want is a Bendix brand, it has two bails for the lid and the resivior is the same size for front and back.

i figured it out and in case anyone else has the same problem i did. that master cylinder is actually for a 72 dodge pickup with disk brakes. mine wasnt leaking from the lid but out the back behind the piston so it needed replacement. thats the only syle i ever remember being on that truck so i kept it the same though technically it turns out its not the right one but oh well.it works and its what was on there the part number is 10-1339 if anyone has the same style i showed in the pictures

Right on the money Black and blue. I went thru 2 of those single holddown-clip style MC's , one was for drum all round (equal sized wells) and the other I installed after a front end swap (for front discs). BOTH leaked out the cap no matter what I did. I don't think they refurbish the top rims in the reman process. I finally got thte beefier style w/ 2 clips and haven't looked back since. The next time you order one be specific, say you want the kind that has the 2 hold down clips (Bendix). delco sux bigtime.
