C/30 Gears
I Have an 69 one ton dually could someone help me How do I tell the rearend gear ratio. There is no tag on the rear. Also does anyone know where i can get an outside sunvisor like the one on Mudders truck Thanks

The best way is to pull the cover and count the teeth of the ring and the pinion. Divide the ring by the pinion and you get the ratio. It might also be stamped on the side of the ring gear. It could be a number like 41/10 = 4.10.
The other way is to block your front wheels to keep it from rolling, put the truck in neutral, jack up one rear wheel. Rotate the wheel 2 complete turns while counting the revolutions of the driveshaft. The number of times the drive shaft rotates will be the gear ratio. I don't remember the exact ratio numbers, but you should end up close to one of these numbers. 4.10, 4.57, 5.13, 6.19 And if you are looking for this style of visor you can drop me a pm.
