Question rear brakes

I was trying to bleed the brakes on my truck and had no pressure at the rear, I was wandering what some of the less obviuos causes for this might be. I just finished converting to a 5 lug front disc brake settup, I installed a new master cylinder but used a proportioning valve off a 72 that worked fine before.Any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you bench bleed the master before you installed it?
