I was looking at pictures of your engine bay and noticed the nice firewall. Did you re-paint it yourself? If so, what brand of paint did you use and what did you do to prep. the surface?

I'll be doing a cab swap soon and want to paint the firewall before installing it. Thanks for any information.

I used Rust-Oleum satin black. I got it at Wal-Mart. It will have pic of wrought iron furniture on the can.

For the prep work, when my engine was out, first thing was to get all the old tar crap GM decided to spray everywhere. This the hardest part. After this, I cleaned everything up real good and put several coats of the satin black.
