rearend

Can anyone tell me what were some of the rearend gears in the rearends were in a 1972 long wheel base truck.

before anyone can answer, we need to know a couple things:
-was the truck originally a 1/2 or 3/4 ton?
-what engine did it originally have ?(if you know)

long beds had the same gear ratios available as short beds...
so you could have: 3.07, 3.42, 3.73, 4.10 (or 4.11), 4.56 (or 4.57), or 5.14. i think thats all of them...

C10 Gears: 3.07, 3.73, 4.11(or 4.10)

C20 Gears: 3.54, 4.10, 4.57(or 4.56)

C30 Gears: 4.10, 4.56 (or 4.56), 5.14

I'm having trouble picking a cam for a 72 long wheel base truck. I really want this baby to run. I bought new 67 cc Pro Topline heads, and I can't decide what cam to get. Does anyone have any ideas?
