Had a good day working on project truck
Well, had a productive day.
Removed stock intake on the freshly rebuilt 350. Removed carb. Replaced all rad, fuel line, and heater hoses (P/O reused crappy old ones). Installed new Edelbrock Performer EPS manifold Installed new Edelbrock 1400 series carb with electric choke Made up new set of MSD ignition wires to go to the HEI Refilled rad with new coolant. Thought I would turn over the engine a few times with the rad cap off because I heard that it would help to get rid of any air in the system. Turned it over for a second, turned it over again for a second and did not even give it any gas and VROOM, the damn engine started right up!! Boy I love those Edelbrocks, they really run good right out of the box. I kicked off fast idle, and it slowly stalled out, because my idle screw was completely backed off. I will set in the morning. After changing out so much stuff it looks like the only leak I have is a right front intake bolt (some coolant coming up the bolt hole. I used ARP fasteners, but the package was short one washer, and wouldn't you know it , it is the one bolt that is leaking. I will go to hardware store and get a 10 cent washer tommorrow, and put more thread sealand on the bolt, that should stop the leak. I will post pics tommorrow. Now on to the interior.
