? on edebrock elec. choke adjustment

i have a 1406 electric choke carb., i've got the choke set where its about 1/8 at start up for summer driven and played around with many other position but when truck sets for over a couple hrs. i'll have to crank it over about seven times pumping the gas to get it started. i do set the choke prior to pumping the gas. when warm it starts right up and the butterfly is fully open. truck has new hei and runs great other than the cold starts. just seems to me it should fire right over the first couple of cranks? anyone else have similer experieces with this problem? thanks ( i only drive truck in summer)

Try setting it one notch richer until it starts the way you want it.
