Pictures of my trucks from last weekend
They look like old friends...
I couldn't resist taking some pictures. I had to clean out my garage to organize some projects and thought some side by side pics would be neat looking. The red 68' is my pride and joy as it was my first vehicle. It a factory 396 CST truck. I've been all over the place and had lots of fun in that truck. It's destined to become a short bed pretty soon though. The blue 67' is getting some overdue detailing done to it. I pull the entire interior and dyna-mat 'd the interior including behind the gas tank. New carpet, factory tach and soon to be a headliner. My girlfriend and I spent hours scrubbing the seat. Enjoy.

Well... in motorcycling if you can find a gal who'll wash your bike with you (or for you) then you'd better hang on to her. I can only guess the thoughts are similar with a gal who will scrub a seat! :p BTW- They do look like old friends, nice pics.

Thanks...I like both of them.
That's funny...my girlfriend has encouraged all of my hobbies including my motorcycle. I think she's holding out that she'll end up with a 69' camaro eventually.

Very nice trucks, Dude. You have every right to be proud of them. My first truck was a nice '70 GMC K2500. I totalled it on the way home from a kegger. I was 18, it was 1976, long before M.A.D.D. and the cop just asked me where I lived and took me home. Those were the days. I didn't kill anybody, though. Just my truck. Wish I still had it!

its a sound deadener. will keep road noise out and if you have 'bumps' in the truck will keep the noise in.
I think we all have pictures of this truck saved

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, the blue one is bagged, has dropped spindles and is alos c-notched. The rims are 18 x 8's and 20 x 10's. I've got some plans for jazzin' up the engine compartment in the next month or so.
The 68' is going to get a long deserved makeover and should have a similar stance. I can't wait to start in on that one.

I love that blue one man...then again, I'm kinda partial to the 67/68's anyway...
Blue is a bit too light for my tastes, but it's your truck, and it looks dead sexy as-is.

Nice truck kxmotox247. It's given me the fever to get started on mine again. I have a 67 swb fleetside that my grandpaw bought new. It was soild white with red int, wood floor, 250 6 cly, 3 on the tree, made in canada and I have all of the original paper work protecto-plate and all. I bought it from a cousin in 1990 and drove it to high school. The screw in the air cleaner stud mount vibrated out and got sucked into the 250 so a friend gave me a v8 that he didn't want because it was not a 350. After checking the numbers it was a 67 283 truck motor. I rebuilt it with 71 350 truck heads and a 64 vette wcfb carb and intake, headers and a turbo 350. The carb never worked right so I installed a holley 600. I had also added a front swaybar and 4 core radiator from a 68 camper special and swaped the 5 lug disc front a-arm/spindles ps box and the 3.73 5 lug axle from a 71 parts truck. I tore this truck all apart back in 1993 to paint it and it's still laying in pieces. I could never find a color combo that I liked with a small back window.

Thanks kxmotox247. I have some pics of my 67 but I'll have to get them scanned in at work. I used to have 6 parts trucks but after removing everything I wanted to keep I sold what was left. I have limited space to park parts cars and at the moment I have 2 78 elcaminos, 1 83 malibu, 1 70 and 1 71 chevelle, 1 85 vette, and 1 94 caprice lt1 9c1. You can see some of my toys at http://members.cardomain.com/lt4xtremes10 and http://members.cardomain.com/lt1fleetwood this will give you pics and info on my 99 s10 xtreme with z06 vette brakes and rims lt4 still on the engine stand and you can see my 96 caddy fleetwood with lt1. I have caddy xlr 18" rims and 13" brakes to install on it. You know how it is when you have to many projects. I've been building a new shop and can only get a free day every now and then so the projects have to be short and sweet.

LT4XTREME...
The s10 is pretty bada$$! I like that. The hitch is pretty cool too. I'd love to have a caddy to go on road trips in. You ought to get some pictures up of your chevelles and trucks. Good looking stash!

It was a quick and dirty photoshop job to show the Paint guy, the green won't be quite as bright when it is all done, but the flames should be close... one day it WILL be done (gotta keep saying that...)

In the small, cartoon world I live in there is only one wheel, AR TorqThrust 2's. They make ANYTHING look good (and they are relatively cheep)! I've got 16's for the front and 17's for the rear with Nitto NT-450's on them. I've got a disc brake rearend setup for it and I'm trying to get the bodywork done.
I won't paint it until summer, and that's if I can make my mind up. I have a 68 chevy front end but have been thinking about running a 68 GMC front instead (So many 2wd blazers have the 68 Chevy front, I like it, but the GMC front with the sloped hood would be different...) and it would keep it a Jimmy, oh, I'm working on the '70 2wd Jimmy... And you are right, they are NEVER done, my wife has kept me from messing with the Blazer, but if I go with the GMC front then the 68 Chevy front is going on the Blazer...
