I recently did mine. You have to install all of the wires as you mentioned. Mine had wire clips that run through the foam. I hooked these up first before I started hog ringing it. If you leave them out the contour of the seat won't be right because they pull the upholstery down tight against the foam and that helps form the contour of the seat. If I remember correctly there were either different length wire clips or the amount you used depending on the location to get the covers to hug the seat properly. Anyway once you start hooking them up you will see what I mean and you can adjust them to make the seat look right. Main thing is to get it right BEFORE you start hog ringing it on.
