I think I saw somewhere that this is a reissue of the red, and yellow and white kits. On the topic of models. Do you remember the open road camper and the racers wedge? They are reissued together now. No truck with the kit, you'll have to choose your truck separately.

It appears to be a re-issue. I have not heard of a new issue pickup out. I just checked AMT's site and they do not have any information on it.

The yellow/white is Skill Level 2 too.

Yeah, I'll probably pickup (pun intended) a couple too. I have three of the yellow/white kits and two of the GMC stepside kits already. A few more ain't going to hurt none.

Those should be around for a while. They just came out last month. Like said, it is a reissue of the red and yellow and white ones. I'm taking mine and making a pickup bed trailer to tow behind an older issue I have...

If it is the same as the yellow and white one, it is pretty poor as far as models go. Crappy detail on the seats, poorly made undercarige, and something about the size/shape is outa whack...
I'm still gonna look for one though...maybe a few.
I could cut one down into a short bed, and use the left overs from that and make one into a longhorn!

You're right Andy, alot of the detail leaves alot to be desired. But it is a 67-72 truck model. It's basicly a modified issue of a 67. They did a 67, 68, 69,70,71 and 72, but each year they changed the mold for the body. If you can find a 67-70 they bring big time duckies, but you'll see the basic kit hasn't changed much. Now if we can get them to reissue the Blazer kit I'll be happy...

I agree on the detail of this kit as well. The exhaust is molded into the floor, and the grille wont match up right w/o some trimming. The block is also very generic....I did like the separate heater/blower assy.

The trick with the grill is to cut it away from the bumper and glue them in two peices...
