Sylvania SilverStar lighting
I thought I'd share my latest experience- I'm pretty happy.
I couldnt find any XtraVisions for my Highbeams, so had to spend extra for the SilverStars, and WOW, I'm glad I did. Incredibly bright an white like the box says- they really look like HID's when I'm driving. The Low beam Xtravisions are BROWN in comparison, and the cheap standard halogens are even more of a joke. Spend $40 more and get your lights upgraded! Makes me feel like I've joined the 21'st century. |

Silver Stars
I to added Silver Stars to my truck, and they are worth the money. I am extremely happy with them.

Silver Stars
Do they plug up to the stock wiring, or do you have to do anything extra ?
Either my eyes are going bad or the stock lighting on my 87 is terrible! I have seen several posts about these but i haven't seen if they are a easy fix for my problem. |

All Auto stores carry them I believe. They plug in in 5 minutes to the factory stuff.

I have the Silverstars on my '05 and my '87. They look great and put tons more light on the road over stock bulbs. Money well spent IMO.

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...ce/Silverstar/
http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...7C%7EEA%7C%7EB For our trucks you want sealed beam 6054 for 2 headlights or H4656 for 4 headlight for the high/low beams.

Walmart carries them too. Anybody tried them in a NBS Chevy with the 9006 low beams?

gldevall--I have them in the low beams on my S10, same thing. Much brighter than my "hyperwhite" high beams I have. I hardly ever use the highs anymore. Well worth the $$. When I get to driving the '78 more I will probably go with them on it too. I was gonna go a conversion to the H4's, but this sounds better from the responses.
