Thumbs up I Wanna THANK This Board

For getting me off my butt and doing some of the stuff to my truck that I've been thinking about doing for YEARS but "haven't had the time" (which means didn't TAKE the time).
In the last few weeks, I put a new dash pad in which has looked HORRIBLE from the day I bought this truck almost 10 years ago. 4 new T/A's and 8" ralley wheels and CHEVY centerpieces. Was running GMC centerpieces - GAWD what a fo-pa! HEI distributor, plugs and wires - works GREAT. Hadn't touched the points or plugs in that time so there was darned little of them left, though the truck still ran fine! New AM radio speaker. WOW - tunes! Well, AM tunes anyway - kinda nostalgic. New defrost hoses and glove box. Thanks to Athey's for ALL this stuff 'cept the HEI from Hotrod Heaven and the wheels and tires. Plus I tidy'd up all the wires under the dash, got some original wiper arms with stainless ANCO blade holders to replace the cheezy aftermarket black plastic ones. Got my leaky steering box fixed and all that's left for now is to put in the air bags in the rear to get that rear down. Just some details that have been bugging me for awhile. YOU GUYZ and YOUR TRUCKS motivated me to take care of my ol' hoss shorty and to have a little pride fercryinoutloud. MAN there are some nice trucks on display here and y'all have every reason to be very proud. THANKS for getting me off my butt and out into my truck! And if yer ever in Northern Arizona.... Holler. I'll buy the first frosty one. H.

Yeah this is a great place for inspiration.Good to hear you have some motivation to keep the truck going. It pretty easy just to let it fall into a pile of steel.

Now all we need is some pics of it

Make it free shots and I'll head west.
Not that the nota-hot rod lincoln would make it to the state line before something important falls off.

I want to thank this board too, for going broke. Just kidding, but man have I spent a whole lot more money than I ever intended to spend when I first got my truck. At first it was just to be a fresh motor and lowered a couple inches, now its like holy sh*& I have how much money into this and I still don't have it on the road. All kidding aside, this is great board.
