For those of yall with spark boxes....

...where did you mount yours in the engine compartment? I have a 6AL, and was curious where you might have put yours.

thanks,

Larry

Box

I mounted my 6a box inside under the glove box I made a mounting plate. I didn't see any place in the engine compartment that I liked.
The only thing I don't like is I can hear the box. If I had a radio maybe I wouldn't.

How long of a run to your coil? Would this cause any problems if it were too far a run to the coil or pick up?

Thanx for the pics

Larry

i put mine right up by the battery, then the blaster ss coil on the fire wall, in the second picture, if you follow the coil wire from the dizzy over the heater box the coil is hiding right behind the hood hinge

i had a mallory box in my engine compartment but for some reason with headers and everything it would get to hot in the engine compartment and the box would cause like a circuit breaker to pop and the truck would shut off..... so now mine is on front of my rad support.... this allows the cool air to blow across it and i havent had a problem yet.... if i drove it more then i would worry about water getting inside of it..... but since mine has been going onto the trailer and down the track then back onto the trailler i am not to concerned..

best of luck
Rat
