Dealer data book holders got ? for you.

Do the 71 - 72 dealer data books have a section on dealer installed custom items... my older ones do. But I was wondering about the 71-72 data books.

I have a 71 dealer data book, does not have a section on dealer installed options, has a section on "special equipment" which is mostly for stepvans.

My 71 dealer's book only lists all the RPO options. In the same binder there is a trailering brouchure that lists a few dealer installed items but that's all I could find.

Rod,

Maybe this is something close to what you're looking for?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=34216
I guess there would be a picture in it of the 8 track player.

Cya,
Edmond

No each year has that section on prices and such of factory installed items...what I was looking for is the section on Dealer Installed installed item..your 69 book should have it...mine does.

I'm asking about the dealer installed option section of the assembly manuals..there a section all on its own in the 67-70 data manuals like the pic below. It has pictures of the optional items available from the dealer. I'm trying to figure out the 72 8 trackplayer ...and it has to be a 1972 8 track player. I'm trying to figure something out about all types available.
I see the tab is hard to read but it says

Custom Features
(Dealer Installed)

All the pages that come with the GM Vintage vehicles services package are just photo copies from the dealer data book... I have a friend's copy from his 71 Blazer that came from Gm Vintage Services...I have posted the letter that accompanies the package that lists the particulars of the vehicle they did the search on.
So its basically just copies from the book Longhorn71.

I'm trying to get an answer on the section called Custom Features.(Dealer installed)

That section is in all my data books from 67-70...but not in my 71-72. I'm trying to find out if they just deleted it in 71-72 or if my books are missing that section.
I just went through my 72 data book and it appears in the index there is no section Custom Features (dealer installed).

So I have not been able to find any literature to back up the 72 8 track. I have been through my dealer data book and can't find anything about an 8 track...but the 67-70 data books do list 8 tracks.

The search for proof of life continues...lol. I have some info...but want more.
