I see that you have a speaker mounted behind the seat in by the gas tank on the passenger side. Do you have one mounted on the drivers side aswell? If so can i get a picture or discription. Also what size of speaker is that.

pretty sweet looking! How many layers of alien protection did you put down?? I just did mine and used 3 layers...still have to do the back of the cab where the tank used to be. Anyway, lookin' good...keep up the good work!!

The insulation is just the cheap stuff I found at the local discount store. Truck still has the factory gas tank. Speaker was already in the door on the left side. I didn't want to cut a hole in an otherwise good door for the right so I made the speaker mount you noticed. It's a 6X9. Just barely fits in there.
This truck's actually been my beater/work truck for years. Decided I try and make it a little quieter inside.

Looks good man! I used Brown Bread over the whole interior of my corvette (3 layers) and it made a big difference! After I get the truck in a little better shape I'll do it to it too. It's a very worthwhile modification.

now you need to do the roof because satelites dont read from the road

, but its gonna make a huge difference in quietness, I did the floors, quarters, quarters and roof of my Monte, and it quiet , very quiet

I'd say that stuff sticks. I've ripped up carpet from three different trucks where the P/O/ used it to hold down the carpet.

Actually the material I used was $13 a roll and it took about 2.5 rolls to do the floor boards and the open area around the gas tank. It claims to be insulate against heat and noise. Stuff is mostly carpet foam with the metalized backing. I used that 3M trim adhesive to stick it down. Comments from VT Blazer have me hoping I never have to lift it.

I’d like to put something in the doors too but it would need something that will hold up to the moisture. For now I’m thinking spray in undercoating. Not the best but better than nothing. My real goal is not to make it super quiet, just want to get rid of the worst of the rattles and road noise.
