Getting ideas for my Shortbed....

Ok, so, i was seriously thinking about selling my 86 SWB, but i got to talking to my buddy Kyle,(special70gmc) and he made me change my mind. It has minor rust in the cab corners and rockers and the bottom of the doors, but nothing serious at all. So we're going to fix all that up and repaint her. And i'm having big problems deciding on a color. It has red interior so take that into consideration. I wanna see some different colors on 81-87's. Show me what you got. If you dont have a pic just say what you think might be cool. THANKS A LOT

Yep, I like the red also. How about a real nice silver?

That's why they call it a shortcut Kyle, if it was easy it would just be the way.

If your planing on selling it later, or might think you would then I'd keep it red.
I had an old 85 shortbox 2wd that looked exactly like yours and about 3 other trucks in town, so I had to change mine when I discovered the rusty parts and wanted a repaint.
But red suits 80's shortboxes, and people like them so it would sell quick.

too bad your interior is red. if it were black or grey i'd say go with GM's Arrival Blue. talk about a SWEET color!

Or black, or silver. Those are about the only colors that work with red interior. Personally I would say paint it red again. It's hard to beat the looks of a nice red truck....

Red is a color forever cool.Or just do what I do when I'm squirtin' color, wait til' you go to buy paint, and take a look at the paint chips, then,SURPRISE YOURSELF!You can't believe the look on people's faces when you they stop by,your preppin' for paint, and they ask what color. It's really fun to say,"ain't sure,I'll tell ya as soon as I know!"

I had one of my 67's painted 1998 Dodge Viper red. It's really bright and stands out with other reds.
