I installed an Add-a-Leaf kit today to eliminate the sag in the rear leafs. Not too difficult aside from busting loose all the 33 year old bolts.

No more sag and I actually have a little rake now.

I've got the same truck ('72 K10 GMC) and suffer from rear end sag. I'm not too much of a mechanic but would like to give Add-a-leafs a try.

Was it tough to keep everything aligned?
Do you mind going through the process of putting in the new leafs?
Does it ride well still or is it rough as a cob?

I had add-a-leafs front & rear for several years until I replaced the fronts with 2" Softrides. Still have the add-a-leafs in the rears - the rear is a bit stiffer than the front, but it is a truck after all. Mt Al, it's not a hard job, just takes some time, and doesn't have much affect on the ride.
