I run a brand of muffler made in Canada called Sweet Talkers. Basically a custom made bottle that gave me the exact deep rumble sound I was after. Lots of guys here run the Flowmaster series mufflers, so I'm sure you'll get a lot of input on this

theres noway to answer this for you, it gonna be what you like or dont like.trial & error. I personally like Dynomax Super Turbos....what sounds good behind one engine may not sound as good behind another.

I run flowmaster 40 series on my Monte SS. I love the sound of them, but everybody runs them. There are a lot of good sounding mufflers out there, but it is all a personal opinion.

You can't go wrong with dual Cherrybombs.

I run Flowmaster 40's side piped.....yeah everybody may have them, but if you throw in headers and a fairly rough cam they do sound nice. I had 12 inch glass packs...but theres one cop in town that won't let people get away with a pin hole in there exhaust. Personally I heard a BB Camaro with Spintechs... if you want fairly quiet but highflow I think I would go with them, you can almost hear them breath.... just sounds like they flow good. but like said before its all a matter of what you do and don't like.

If you like the Flowmaster sound and want it to be loud I believe they make a single chambered Flowmaster, not sure what series it would be? I'll guess a 10 series? I'm sure a set of those would be pretty loud.....
Maybe someone on the board has had a set of one chambered Flows and could chime in?

Ive just never been one for LOUD exhaust...unless its healthy & fast...if its loud , it better be fast. low compression stockers , or near stockers dont sound good to me with any loud mufflers...but thats just my 2cents

The farther back you can put the mufflers the better. I like SS bomb mufflers with removable silencer.

I had a set of one chambered flowmasters, LOUD. Louder than any set of glasspacks I have ever owned. Two chamber 40 series are the best sounding in my opinion.

I like the 40 series Delta Flows myself, pretty loud but not annoying (to me anyway, don't ask my stuck-up neighbors). I haven't ever heard another vehicle that sounds like my truck.

Compared to the all too well known sound of the 40 series flowmasters, how do the magnaflows differ?? Louder? Deeper Tone? Turbo? I am looking for the deep throaty sound similar to that of the 40 or 50 series...and when dealing with these name brands, it gets kinda expensive doing trial and error...especially when you are always buying two at a time!!! Thanks in advance!

my truck has had 4 different setups on it all sounded awesome but the most recent is the best i believe. it started out with flowmaster 40's out the back with headers and dual 2.5 pipes. the all that rotted so i cut it out and ran open headers with straight pipe for about a month then cut the pipes down a bit and added a new set of 40 series 2 chambers that dumped just behind the cab that setup sounded completely awesome except it would take you deaf in the cab. now i added 45 degree elbows on both pipes just behind the muffler and brought the pipe out to just in front of the rear wheel much quieter in the cab and still sounds great

Dynomax Bullets. Might as well be straight pipe, but the Bullets take away a little of the raspy sound of straight pipes.
Loud as hell, but not as loud as open headers.
