bucket seats and carpet

I just bought an 82 Chevy. I need carpet for the floor and was wondering if any place offered it at a reasonable price. I also found a good pair of seats w/console in a 89 Sub. Will they bolt right in my truck or do I need to cut anything?

The buckets will not just bolt in. The rear of the truck cab floor curves up, while the sub's is flat, thus the brackets have to curve up at the rear. In addition, the bracket nearest the console mounts to a raised tab that is welded to the sub's floor...your truck does not have these tabs, and you will either have to fabricate some, or cut the ones out of the sub floor and weld to your floor.
I know this, because I'm in the process of putting factory truck buckets from a '77 Silverado in my '81 C10; I'm in the middle of seat bracket hell right now.
Later,
SC
