I used a LWP set-up in my 67. Didn't know about the SWP when I did it in 1993. Power steering clears no problem. I don't recall if I used 68-72 pressure hose or 73. Either may work but I would try the 73. I used a fan clutch and the fan is VERY close to the radiator and is WELL inside the shroud but has not overheated in 12 years. I have had this truck on the road for 12 years since March 93 without trouble (50,000 miles).

My next project is a 67 2wd 502/4L80E and will have AC so I am going SWP on it.
