LMC Bed Rail Caps?

Has any one purchased the LMC bed rail caps that are featured in their catalog? They have them pictured in smooth or diamond plate style. Anyone know who makes them for LMC? Would like to know how they fit around the rear stake pocket by the tail gate since the bed rail "flares" at that point. Anyone have pictures of such? Seems as if LMC is the only who has them but I've never seen a 67-72 truck with them mounted. Like to see what they look like before I plunk down the $$$. Any one with a set care to comment about fit, quality, etc. Interested in the diamond plate style mostly. Thanks for all comments.

My dad has them on his 70'. I checked for a long time on the net and could not find them made for our trucks other than LMC. He bought these last spring and we installed them this past fall after the truck was painted. They really set the textured bedliner off nicely. There is a very slight gap on the rear stake pockets. It's not too noticeable. The overall fitment is pretty good. These pics show all 4 pieces. I hope this helps.

Jim, Thanks for the reply and the pics. Very nice looking truck, really clean. At the rear stake pocket you mentioned a slight gap. Would it be possible to take a pic of that specific area and post it? My plan is after installing the diamond tread caps is to install stake pocket tie downs and am interested if there are any issues to deal with in that area.

Wink Dodge Truck ones fit.

I think it was Dean's Truck that had Dodge ones that fit Darn good. I do not know the year. Maybe someone here will know? I used 73 chevy for the front and back, even the full gate cover by DEE ZEE fit but not the sides.

Mike, I had bought a set of the Dodge rail caps and tried them. They do not cover the stake pocket at the tailgate area as the Dodge top rails are straight and do not flare like the 67-72 bed rails. I never actually installed them but as they were a special order, non-stock item I could not return them. Still have them and still in the box. Not sure what to do with them except find a Dodge truck owner, LOL. I did use the '73 Chevy diamond plate tailgate cover and with a little bit of massaging of the cap if fits rather well on the 'gate. Looking forward to seeing pics of an actual application.

Smile Thank you Ironhorse!

Hey, thanks for that info. I bought a set for a 73 box and a Sheet metal place
said they could be sheared and formed to fit. I have not tried this yet and have no idea about the cost. I was trying to find a less costly way to outfit a few longbeds with the side caps. Mike
