Yes they did. Big block/T400 2wd had a high hump with no holes. I don't know about manual trucks but think that 4speed 2wd may have had a high hump.

Also, 1/2 ton trucks with a TH400 and 305/351 V-6 engines had high humps too. Of course, that would be a GMC only thing there.
Other than that, the general accepted rule is any big block truck with an auto or 4 speed....3 speed trucks had the low hump.
All 4 wheel drive trucks...
and all 4 speed trucks..
all these had high hump cabs, and all high humps were bolt in.

SORRY ANDY .. I HAVE TO CALL ON THIS ONE, & GO ALONG WITH BOB MOORE ON THIS ONE. AUTO-MATIC BIG BLOCK TRUCKS DID INDEED COME WITH HI-HUMPS WITH NO HOLES IN THEM. G.M. ONLY PUT T-400 AUTO-MATIC TRANNYS IN AUTO-MATIC EQUIPT TRUCKS , & SINCE G.M. NEVER PUT A FACTORY FLOOR SHIFT AUTO-MATIC IN OUR TRUCKS, THE HIGH HUMPS THAT CAME IN THESE TRUCKS NEVER HAD ANY HOLES IN THEM. I HAD THIS SAME CONVERSATION WITH FAST68 A FEW YEARS AGO, & HE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME UNTIL I SENT HIM PICTURES OF ONE. WANT PIC.s?? JOHN

I forgot to mention that it started life with a 400 automatic. As to whether the big hump was added when the tranny was swapped, I don't know.
