Have you ever weighed your truck, I just did

Took some scrap iron in yesterday and found out my truck only weighs 4120# that is for a short bed 4x4 small block and 4 speed with a 205. The only thing is I don't have a front bumper on or a front driveshaft in so combined maybe 100# more with everything on it. I thought that it weighed more than that like 4500-4700# area boy was I wrong.

Anyone else ever weighed you truck is so what is it and how much did it weigh?

My 80 weighed about 5600 with me in it (190lbs) and a full tank of gas. I just converted it to 4x4, and put a tank that is about twice as large on, so I will likely be sitting at about 5800 - 5900 lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas

Shes a heavy ol girl!

i think most of you guys posting the 1/2 weights are smokin crack!
a 3450# truck?
i'd kill to get my lwb 1/2 ton down to 3500!
where are you weighing them?
mine weighed 3920 last time i weighed it & that was after doing some weight removal.
i use a cat certified scale.
from what i have seen, these 1/2 tons typically weigh 4300-4600# stock.
jason915;don't put tooo much faith in salvage yard scales.
they only care about the dif, not the actual weight.
meaning 4120 may be 4720.
the "full" reading would be off the same amount.

I was wondering how accurate the scale was because I thought my truck was closer to 4500-4600 area

I was pretty surprized that my truck weighed 3600 when w/o me because it was still a LWB then. The only reason I think my truck is so light is becuase I have a very light motor and transmission. Not to mention that my bed is just pine boards. I know I saved over 200# between those. Not to mention the seats are pretty light. Really there isn't much to our trucks, I mean there isn't half the crap a new chevy truck has in it...

Weighed mine when i first got it....no jack, tool, spare tires or anything, and a almost empty tank of gas. Like 4020 lbs with me in it, so ~3800 lbs empty. Weighed it again with a toolbox and a bunch of other crap and ~4200 lbs with me in it. So it gained weight. Mine is a LWB C10 350/auto.

Been to the dump twice in my 72. Both times net weight was 4600#. Take off 300# for me and the toolbox. And don't forget your gas,,,,,,,weighs around 6# a gallon so that could make a 120# difference.

I guess I win for the heavy weight so far. 1980 c30, 7000 lbs. with me along for the ride. 350,4spd,pto hoist,12ft. flat bed. I would tell you guys how much it has weighed loaded, but I'm afraid the local DOT boys might read this! I picked up about 125lbs. by switching to 235/85R/16 10ply radials from the 7.50/16LT 8ply tires it did have.
