Yes!!! I Scored!!!
Just bought a 71 LB for 50 bucks. It was a project evidently. Some guy had it in his shop and wanted to toss it. Has no motor or tranny. and is missing some fenders. But I will now have something to work with while I move over my old parts from the old wrecked frame. This rolling chassis came with a 3/4 ton 3.75 5 lug rear end. Kinda sad I'm gonna start out with a 4.3 L V6. I'm moving over my old Astro Van engine and tranny. When I get my old beast here from Cali, I should have it road ready in a matter of weeks.

What info do you have on this 5 lug 3/4 rear? Doesn't sound right. |

Hey longhorn-
the rear end was redone by the previous owner. It's a standard 3/4 but the guy who wanted to fix it up changed the axles. I checked it out. He did a fine job. Spider gears look new and the carrier bearing bolt wasn't snapped.....Hows that Cady engine running? Last edited by iluvmy72; 04-24-2005 at 07:56 PM. |

It sounds like a 6.5 diesel at an idle, and knocks like mad at 1200 RPM. Found piston skirt fragments in the oil filter too.
Other than that, she runs like a champ. Still burn the tires all through first and into second when I lift. |
