Help !!!

I hope someone can help me with this problem. When I stand at the back of my truck crouch down and look at he rear wheels the left rear tire points
inward toward the pas side of the truck.. At first I thought must be a bent rim so I switched the tires from side to side and it does the same thing. Oh yea, no vibrations of any kind up to 105 MPH.. Help,,

Are the bedsides straight? Seems like the tire would wear funny if it was at an angle.

Or it would pull like a mother, I'm with Krue is there something else that your basing the angle by that might be off? Have you measured between the front part of the tire l/h to r/h and compared to a measurement from the back of the rear tires l/h to r/h?

Measure from side to side between your front and rear axels, then compare.

I hate to admit this but when doing a 'quickie' spring swap I got one leaf turned around and mounted it bassackwards.
Made for almost a 2" difference side to side.
From behind the thing totally 'crabbed' down the road, looked terrible.
Believe it or not, it drove fine.

Find a base measurement and go from there, good luck.

I would think you could rule out bent wheel or axel because that would vibrate is it coil or leaf spring

I May Have It !!

I do really appreciate all the help I get on this board and hope I can return the favors one day. In talking to a frame guy I know he suggested that maybe my axle housing is bent on on the drivers side. If that was the case then my axle flange would be a litle off when bolted down.. I have been working 12 hour shifts for the last 2 weeks and will be off this coming week and then I will find out what is wrong and share the info on here in case anyone else runs into this problem.

I had a`92 GMC that came from the factory with the axle tubes toed-in about 3/8 on each side.I didn`t pick up on it `til 80,000miles when I went to 285/75x16s.The outer tread got bald in 8,000 miles.I had a 4 wheel thrust-alignment check done on it and took the print-out to GM.The only symptom prior to that was they kept having to replace my rear shoes and axle seals cause they were grabbing when wet from the seals leaking(14 bolt FF).It took about two weeks before they`d grab again.

Bad News !!

Yep, Special K my rear axle housing is bent on the one side. There is no way to fix it so I guess I'm on the hunt for a rear end. Does anyone know which rear ends will bolt into my 72 long box. Do any car ones fit or vans etc. Is there a web page that shows interchanging for GM rear ends?
