Hey guys!

I'm nearly done my engine here. I put the serp and the TPI on tonight, but I need to know how I can clean up both the TPI intake, and the serpentine belt tensioner. Both are made of aluminum, and are all corroded. I don't need a mirror finish, just something that looks a bit nicer

Oh yeah, one other thing. How interchangeable are AC delete pulleys? I need one for my setup, but all I can find online is serp AC deletes for a TPI Camaro.

I just went through this, as I'm putting together an LT1 for my Jaguar. I was going to paint the accessory brackets, intake, valve covers, front cover, etc. I was using POR15 engine paint, and wanted to go by their prep directions. I used their Marine Clean, which is probably the best degreaser I've ever used, period. You gotta follow the directions, though. I then used their Metal Ready. When I finished, the parts went from totally disgusting, to really nice. I ended up painting the intake, but left the one big accessory bracket plain. I also used it on the alternator cover. It made the aluminum look like the day it was cast. There may be better ways to accomplish this, but I used what I already had.

I have had pretty good luck using Eagle One wheel cleaner for non clear coated aluminum wheels.

California Customs Oxidizer and Purple polish.

a friend of mine uses the mothers and he uses a dremel to polish off that pitting stuff it comes out good ( even tho he is working on ricers)

Don't know why your buddy would waste his time on ricers. haha

something that can be found at marine stores and some hardware stores is a generic looking bottle that says "ALUMINUM BRIGHTNER and Fiberglass Cleaner".. it works awesome!
