lift and tire size
the truck i own is a 1985 gmc sierra stepside ....right now it has a 6 inch lift and 35's and i was thinking of lowering it to a 3or 4 inch lift woth either 33's or 32's does any one have any pics of a truck like this with this size lift , beacause i dont wanna buy the lower lift and lower it and not have it look as good , and also i was woundering if i would see any acceleration gains with the smaller tires , and what about the mpgs' the truck has 3.73's

Mine's an '86 chev. 3/4T stock ht. also 373's I went from stock (like 31's) to 34's & my speedo was off about 10 mph @ 45, I was actually running 55. My mpg definitly decreased but I haven't checked to see how much. And it's not as snappy as it used to be w/ the smaller tires but no big difference. I would expect yours would do about the opposite of mine.....Just my 2cents.

Crate 350 advertised 265 hp, 3.73 gears and 32 inch tires getting 13.5 mpg, exactly the same as the new 2500hd 6.0 and 4.10's. OK the sig says 33's that has changed.
