there made just alittle differant , there tougher . got more metal in them and more suport in them and there made to run at a certian rpm longer , man i aint good at explaning this its like this you can put a marine motor in a car/truck but you cant put a car/truck one in a boat i think i got that rite

I was there too! That 454 sounded great. Randys ZZ3 sounded and rode nice also. I'll be at the picnic.

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm |

I thought the marine motors had some kind of provision for cooling the motor or something different, hell i don't know what I'm talking about.

Marine Engines
Are built so the starter, alternator, etc. doesn't have the capability to start a fire. They are double insulated to prevent sparks which could ignite petroleum fumes in the engine bay. That is according to my neighbor. I wish I wasn't on travel to San Diego. Gotta miss the picnic. Kerry

Different cams and all the parts that could rust out are stainless steel. Thats why Marine carbs are so expensive.
