Talking Roadtrip questions (a little help, please)

Okay, so tomorrow I'm going to get my 68 long step. I got a tilt back trailer from a friend. It's about 4 hours up there. What tips can you give a novice for the trip? I respect the members tips and would appreciate any help. I'm excited and anxious for the adventure.
Thanks,
Mark

Well, if you are asking about towing instructions, I would recommend that you load the truck nose first, have most of the weight in front of the axles. I like to have the vehicles up at the front of the trailer about as far as I can get it, I think more tongue weight makes it tow much easier. I never load them on backwards, they don't tow well at all that way.

Keep the weight up front and make sure you got enough straps or tie-downs and help.

You might want to double check the trailor tires and make sure you have a spare.

Take it easy and don't hurry. Look really far ahead of you and anticipate stopping from a loooong way off.

Weasel's right about the straps/tie-downs. A shifting load can send you into the ditch, or make for an uncomfortable ride at least.
