Loose emergency brake lever/pad--84 C10-HELP!

I have noticed that my emergency brake lever/pad seems to have gotten loose/shaky lately....anyway to tighten this lever or assembly up? Ideas? It rattles, and if I hold the lever/pad while I am driving it of course stops rattling---I looked under the dash at it and it does appear to feel a bit loose---the whole assembly that is.......how and where can I tighten this up?? THX!....BTW, it is an '84 C10 silverado is that matters......

Theres a pin that holds the assembly togather over time it wears out. If the pin wears the two peices there isnt much you can do except find a doner ebrake. Now on the other hand if the spring assebly could be broken also resulting in replacment. Now it its just the lever peice moving there is a 2in spring that goes from the lever to the assembly thats gotten broken or gone missing.
