1970 Chevy CST build sheet - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I took my seat out of my 70 Chevy CST today to pull the sending unit out of the tank to see if I had a bunch of garbage in the tank and found the original build sheet for the truck. It answers a lot of questions as there is no option sheet on the glovebox door. The truck was built in Fremont and then shipped to Long Beach Ca. I bought the trck in Medford Oregon.

Where did you find it? I've looked in the truck for mine under and behind in the seat didn't see anything.

I found this one and the one in my 67 GMC in the seat. They were both by the passneger side behind the seat, had to take the seat out to get it out and fixing the pieces that ripped when I removed it. You can see the imprints from the springs in the seat on the paper.

I moved the seat forward and I could see the build sheet but neded up pulling the seat out to clean anyway and it was easier to get it out without ripping it too much as the sun has done a good job of making the paper brittle.

Well I've looked about three times and never saw one....guess mine disappeared. Oh well at least I got the protecto plate and booklet and the manual.
I'll probably look one more time when I see my truck again next week.

Of the 5 or so build sheets (Chev & GMC) I've ever seen, they are all for the Freemont California plant.

Makes me wonder if the Freemont plant is the only one that got the build sheets in the seat.

Does anyone have one that is NOT from the Freemont plant?
