Hello from Desert Rat
Hi all. I'm not sure if you remember me or not, this is Micah. I have not been on the board in over 2 years. I actually signed in under desert rat. I did not remember my password but had it reset. I actually had unanswerd PMs from August 2003. I do not remember if i left the board in good terms or not. One PM that was unopened was from member big orange over a big block alt bracket, i think i mjay still owe him money for? I sent him a PM to resolve.
If I owe any part or anything to you please let me know. i don't think that I do, but i do not recall alot of things that went on. If anyone has any problems please shoot me a PM or email. I use to wheel and deal alot on here mainly in big block parts, brackets, pulleys etc. I drove a 69 GMc SWB 402 truck and had a few other projects. sadly to say many hard times and other things that were more important led me to dump all my trucks and projects. I still have some rare parts and big block stuff left. It really sucks i unhappily put around in a 98 Nissan pickup and we have a freakin Dodge Caravan, laugh if you want but i hate what we drive. I would almost kill for a 67-72 project nowadays, but have beenin financial difficulties for a few years. I have had a few members email me over the last year to check up on me, some may remember i'm the one who had the brain surgery for the tumor. My father reported on my progress during the event, many were very supportive, and I thank you. The folowing months i was full of drugs and posted some well to say the leat off the wall post. I'm sure i was close to being banned on more than one occasion. Then i hit very hard times, sold parts and sometimes didn't always deliver. If i owe you anything please contact me. i'm still financialy in a bind, but I need to make good on any debts some how. I do have another brain tumor as some of you know, but it is lying dormant. Since my days on the forum her I have been a active member in the local herpetological associations. I currently am active in herpetological world. (reptiles and amphibians) I have also starting my own buisness in the captive husbandry and repoduction of rare pythons, boas, and other snakes and reptiles. (anyone back eats who has bullsnakes, gopher snakes, pine snakes, corn snakes in their yard-i'll trade parts for snakes) shameless plug-LOL. Anyhow i'm not looking for sympathy or anything here, i'm hoping to be welcomed back in the 67-72 family even though i no longer have one (now i dream of owning one) I want to square away any un resolved dealings and come back here. I realized how much i miss this community after reading about GMCJunkies circumstances. I remember talking to her a few years ago on instant messaging, i also remember dubie, fast68chevy, and a few others. it's been awhile obviuosly!!! I'd also like to donate a 3.5 hp Craftman air compresor to gmcjunkie it works great, however I cannot afford to ship it, maybe another board member contribution can help it be delivered? Thank you for listening to my long winded post. Desert Rat |

Welcome back Rat........... I do believe you have been missed and the ones you may or may not owe parts to, I think they realize that you have been sick. Shows what kind of guy you are that you would come back to make things right.

Thanks Mudder! I was hoping the first response wouldn't be a lynching! Maybe the next one? I am looking foward to talking trucks, even though I do not have one anymore. I'm hoping to in the near future.

Micah, Good to hear you are still kicking. Thought maybe you got snake bit or something. I see your Dad every now and then but see his '68 4x4 more frequently at the drags, swap meets, car shows...etc. It is easy to spot! Sorry to hear about the hard times. WELCOME BACK!

Hi Stllookn. Yes i'm sure my dad is at all the events. His 68 4x4 i'm sure is hard to miss. wish it was mine! I will be seeing him in about 2 weeks, its been a few years! I thought about moving back, but this Arizona sunshine is hard to beat (well it was a little hot @ 117 today-LOL)
My hard times were and are a learning process, ( i have a few things to resolve i'm sure) but alot of it is behind me , i still have some obstacles to hurdle but i'm optamistic (sp?) i don't know if i have ever used that word before! LOL. Thank you Micah |

Hi Micah , glad you have found your way back here and that you are doing better . You always had a lot to say , knew a lot about different things and had interesting stories . Welcome back . Right off the bat I have a question for you that is right up your alley . You might remember that I live a few miles north of you up near Firebird International and I have this king kong spider that has moved into my garage and I am having trouble finding out what he is. He's 100% black , a body the size of an average thumb and hairy legs that span about 3 inches . He is so fast i can not catch him and there is so much junk out there I can't find him either . Looking in books he did not match the color discription for local tarantulas or wolf spiders being 100% black . Do you know what he probably is ? Thanks and good luck to you Micah .

Welcome back to the board. I was fairly new when you left so you probably don't remember me. Truck ownership is not a requirement to hang around here. Glad you're still with us.

That's what I love about this board, good people, real people - people willing to own up to their mistakes and people willing to forgive and welcome back. I've only been a member of this board for a few months and I don't know you DesertRat, but I, like most other people on this board understand hard times and realize none of us are perfect. Best of luck to you in your physical healing as well as your spiritual healing.

Good to see you back. Just Sunday I was wondering how you were fairing with the tumor.
You once asked me for desert horned lizards, but when I gathered them up and sent a pic, I didn't hear from you. Are you still looking to get some?

DR,
Good to hear from you. Whenever I go to Phoenix I always want to make the side trip over to Casa Grande to see if you are still around or not. Wondered if one of those snakes got you. Do you still have the Nova? I was the one you swapped some parts with; you had it together and I think running last time we talked.

Hey Rat
Waaaay back you and I got off to a bad start if you remember?? Anyway I'd like to start fresh and say welcome back. Our differences were minor and anybody who likes 67-72 trucks can’t be all bad. Hope your feeling better and best of luck in your new venture
