NP205 shift knob

Jamie, I have one here, someplace. Of course knobs are always better when seen or handled in pairs so maybe I need to find you two?!
Do they have to have lettering on the knobs?
Is one knob enough? Do you require a certain size?
What about shape of the knob?
IS the mounting of the knob always the same? Is the color of the knob important or is the feel the really key thing?
What about age---is any age knob OK?
Really older knobs tend to loose something over time. I guess I'll have to go out to the barn for a "Knobs" search which could be fun! hehehehe---if you stop by, the knob will be free as long as you promise not to abuse it and let me get a feel from time to time!
hehehehe~~~Huck

Re: 71-72 4x4 shift knob

Holy whack job,Batman.* This is a 7 year old NP205 transfer case shifter knob "WTB" thread that was brought back as a 4spd shifter knob thread by someone else. Then a response for one of the knobs offered 7 years ago...for a 7 years ago price! LOL! Gives light to the never ending quest to go back in time. Maybe this way,a 4spd knob will be offered for 1/4 the price of what they run today, just like that t-case knob. One thing for sure,I always enjoy seeing all the old names, like a stroll down memory lane, when life was simpler, transfer case knobs and beer were cheaper, and this site was way smaller. Oh,and most of all, back before the economy took a dump and life was much better...for me,anyway.

* Please,no offense to you guys who just posted. I'm just having fun here.
