Start on a new truck. That one is finished. Paint the new truck flat black!

I kinda like the way it looks right now.
I guess flat would be the next best thing. But why now just buy another truck and shoot it flat black and drop it ?

Since everyone else is giving their opinion, here is what I would do: leave it like it is, but carry the orange on forward across that front fender. The flat black thing is getting a little too common for me, so I wouldn't even consider going that route, but as I said, that is just me. I think your truck looks good as it is, other than I never was sold on that front fender treatment. Be a shame to waste all that effort and good paint, but it is your truck, so do what makes you happy.

In reply to SHIFTY............I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't care how much time or money I spend on my truck, it will most likely never be "finished"!!!!!!! LOL

I like it the way it is. Maybe get some flaming skulls airbrushed into the front of the orange?? That would look badass!!

Waaay back in the late 80s/early 90s I had my 68 SS chevelle painted flat black. Loved it! If I spun the tires and chipped the paint, no big deal to fix her up again. I then got a little more money and put 2 different paint jobs on it. Hated them both so much I traded the car off on an 80 stepside.. yes that's right real SS396 for a stepside pickup.. and I owed $$ on top of that. Wish I could do it all over again.

I think you should trade me trucks. Then you can paint something that needs it!

Kyle. Your truck looks killer... (I don't think I'd change a thing on it). I just picked up a 71 GMC and I'm going to paint it flat black (I'm pretty sure) with a slight rake. I'm planning on American Racing Outlaw I's 10 x 15 rear & 8 x 15 fronts with chrome/billet/stainless steel accents (I sort of want to go with a 70ish look). As mentioned you shd just build another one. Doug

My truck is going to be painted like pic#3 but with a silver Harley flame stripe between the colors inside/out, maybe clearcoat it later in life lol.
Maybe you should set these guys up for another photoshop makeover ?? I think your truck looked great with the black across the bottom though. Or try some wicked airbrushing throughout the side that might cure you. DO WHAT YOU WANT ! Last edited by camaro__thunder; 08-19-2005 at 03:01 AM. |

I vote you leave it. That truck is one of my favorites on this site. You need to post more pics though.
