im going to be converting over to power brakes .. im currently running a th350 .. so i've need a fitting that is shaped like a "T" to get vacuum to the tranny and the booster at the same time ... where should i pick this up and what size threads should i be looking for ??

The side that the booster runs off of should just be a simple barbed hose fitting that the booster line slips over and then clamped. Without seeing the tranny side line setup it's hard to answer that. A good place to start is a local hardward store.

You could pick up something like this.

That is what I did (hardware store). I took my single port out of the intake and took it with me. Bought one that had two threaded ports in it (same size). I then bought two barbed hose fittings (as mentioned by Americanrider).....one for each size vac line needed. Voilla.....power brakes!

EDIT: while I was typing, the picture was posted above.....I like that better...gotta' check into one of those!!

Putter, what are barbed hose fittings. I have to find something. I have a monstrosity with 3 ports (1 - xmsn, 1 small plugged, and 1 huge one with a bolt stuck in it). I need to get something that will work. I have a 1988 350 in my 69 SWB Step. I like the Power Brake Inlet Manifold Fitting that demi posted, but I can not find it at Classic Industries or Ricks. Also, I'm not sure of the threading on mine, sine the manifold is newer. Thanks.

Normally, your booster vacuum is pulled from the base of the carburetor at the rear. If you don't have power brakes, there should be a 1/4" pipe plug in the hole. Simply remove it and screw in a barbed hose fitting. The port in the intake manifold where the transmission vacuum line hooks up is normally 3/8" pipe thread, some aftermarket manifolds may be different.

Fittings that will screw into the intake, carb, etc.... and look similar to the picture below. You push the hose up and it is heck to get back off!!!!

PICKMUP...I got one out of a salvage yard today. Could not find it at AutoZone, Kragen, Parts Plus, or NAPA.

Demi...I still would like to have a new one. Can you send me the link to where you found that. I could not find it on any of those sites.
