What is the procedure for pulling the front springs out? "70-2 wheel drive C 10" I want to cut coils. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

One way to do it is to seperate the lower ball joint from the spindle and use a floor jack under the a-frame. You have to try to keep your distance just in case the spring pops out(try standing in front of the truck wit the jack handle at reach). This is not the safest way to do it you can buy or rent a coil spring compresser to do the job also.

1. Front end on jack stands.
2. Remove the sway bar end clamps if equipped.
3. Jack under A-Arm until that side of the frame comes off the stand. Then bleed the jack down just a bit so the frame is back on the stand.
4. Remove the lower ball joint pin and back off the nut. Do not remove the nut completely at this point.
5. Take out all your frustrations on the spindle and lower A-Arm with a hammer to break the ball-joint loose from the spindle. Don't hit the ball joint threads or it will cause issues with removing/installing the nut.
6. Once the ball-joint breaks loose, ensure the jack, not the ball-joint, is supporting the arm.
7. Remove the nut and back off the jack.
8. Lower arm drops down, and the spring comes out.

There is no need for a spring compressor. The spring will have 0 pounds of energy...well, it'll have it's weight, and that's it. It'll plop out onto the floor right by your feet.
