Helping Josh out TRUCK wise...

Ok,

I know we have talked about sending Josh money, but how about the man's truck? Josh, please post a list of ALL the parts you need and how about we see if we can't donate some to you. This would help you build your truck for less and be easier on the pockets of some of the more frugle among us...

Let me know what y'all think...

Pretty good idea. Josh what do you need/want and do you have the resources to work on your truck if you received a bunch of parts from us?

Apparently he's too modest to ask for parts or something. Surely somebody knows what he needs for his truck. Somebody go by Josh's house and take some pics of his truck so we can see what he needs! LOL! With a board this good he deserves a truck this good! Or, we could just send him some parts, and he could sell what he doesn't need for board money??? What's his address? LOL!

Well, I'll be honest,

I've known Josh since I've joined the board, and we've talked on msn every night since I joined. Here are a few things I can recall.....

He needs a TH400 something terrible. His has been dying for a few years, and now it's to the point where it doesn't want to shift into gear sometimes.

His engine has 186k (something like that) miles. It's tired, plain and simple.

The PMO (Previous Moron Owner) of his truck, was not mechanically inclined at all. Josh now needs wiring, due to that fact.

I believe his Quadrajet is also on the fritz. Sometimes it wants to work great, sometimes the truck will barely run out of its own smoke.

Anyways, you guys asked, so I told. I'm not quite as modest as Josh. LOL

TJ

bbs1965 is in NE Texas and is selling another TH400 everytime I turn around. I think he has one for sale now for $100, and a rebuidlable one for $50. I'll run it out there if we can buy one for him.

I've got a quadrajet off of a '70 that I'll rebuild and send him if he wants it. Just let me know where to send it. No good engines or 400s, just th350s. I could help him out with engine parts if he wants to rebuild his. I can get good quality 350 rebuild kits with pistons, cam, lifters and all for about 180.00$.

Donating truck parts would probably simplify his taxes a little too

At least he wouldn't have as much money to keep track of...
