Re: Going to repaint the Green Machine -Should I leave it GREEN ??

I am in the process of painting my 72 now. I am going with a hugger orange, and charcoal SS stripes. When I make some more headway I will post pics in the picture firum.

Stay with the green...if I get another truck I'll prolly paint it factory dark olive if it isn't that colour already

Re: Going to repaint the Green Machine -Should I leave it GREEN ??

Well after some debate here at home, we're pretty sure we will stay with the 506 dark olive metallic in a BC/CC, hope thats the right choice. I've seen too many of these trucks given a cheapo paint job in the "wrong" color, sometimes leaving under the hood, and other areas original color, looks like crap. Now thats not what we would do if we changed color, but I don't think we could go wrong with original color, if we want to resell it some day it may be worth more than if it looks like someone "screwed" with it. Better an original color I'm thinking now - Thanks

Way to go/good choice!

Adding a little pop to your existing color will give the results your hoping for while retaining a stock looking ride.

Yeah, I like green too.
