Is anyone using an aftermarket high-performance type water pump? Do they seem to make a difference in cooling at idle? During the summer my temps creep up at idle in traffic, so if I can get a benefit the extra cost is worth it. My stock pump is starting to seep, so it's decision time. Any input would be appreciated.

I had a Stewart on mine, Temps never exceeded 195. Radiator is a 4 core and I'm running twin electric fans.
Back in the spring, I converted to a serpentine setup and had to switch to a reverse rotation water pump. It's a generic parts house piece, but it performs very well. Made it through a typical Mississippi summer and temps still stay below 200. So far, I'm pleased.

Just like GMan, I am running a parts-house reverse rotation on a serpentine setup. Mine is a 3-core radiator with dual electric fans (11" each) and I never get above 195 sitting still in traffic, and usually run closer to 170 on the highway.
