I got a set of 15x8 rallies for my truck.I am thinking of going with some 285 70 15's.

Does anybody have any pictures of their truck with these??

I like the 255, 265, make sure the 85's don't rub.

What is the tread width on those tires? Sounds kinda wide to me.
I know my 275/60's measure darn near 10 inches wide. I have them on a 9 1/2 inch wide rim, and they look perfect. No balloning, (like I suspect for your proposd set up) nor streaching to reach the bead either.

I not sure on the width,I think its it close to the 275-60's.Thats bascally what i'm looking for something about as wide as the 275-60's and maybe alittle taller than the 255's.

May I'll go with the sure thing and get the 255's.as this is my daily driver and dont want them waring out to quick

Well, I may be mis reading your post, and if I am, please take no offence, but the 255, or 275, that is the tread width. That would mean a theoretical 255 mm or 275mm wide. The 60, as in 275/60 is the % of width as height....or aspect ratio.
So say (to keep the number easy) you have a p300/50R15.
That would be;
300mm wide
50% of 300, or 150 mm tall,
and 15 inch rim.
The P means passenger vehicle, while LT is light truck.
R is for raidial.
Again, i may well be misreading your post.

I have 285/70's on the back of my 67. It is dropped 4 inches in the rear so it kinda looks tubbed at a glance. They are BF Goodrich TA's. They are about 32inches tall and 10inches wide. I don't think you would want to run them on the front, unless its a 4x4. Stock height 2x4 would be a tight fit! I have mine mounted on 15x8 corvette rallies and they look hot roddy with the truck being black and all.

I went with the 255 BF Goodrich radial TA's.The truck rides better.

Stano,do you have any close up pictures of the 285's on your truck??I think I am going with those on the back of my black truck when it ever gets done

Here's my truck. I've got BFG Radial T/A's on it. 285/70R15's on the rear. Stock suspension. I currently have air shocks in the back, but the are air'd down. Front tires are 235/60/15's. its got a sweet rake to it.

here's a better pic for ya. gives ya a better view of the rear tires. Still not a great photo, back when I first got it and it had 31x10.50R15 on it, basically the same as the 285/70R15. hope this helps ya.
