4speed manual
In my 1981 chevy 6cyl 250 4spd manual i cannot get out of 3rd gear, its stuck in third, one of the link rods the one all the way one top came off, and i was tring to get out of third, then noticed it was off, so i hooked it back on and still cant get out of 3rd.. ive tried to get it out of third for over 2 hrs and i am fed up with screwing with it, so i came to get some advice
 can i get any help? Thanks alot for any sort of reply!!

Is the top rod the front or back? rotate the lever forward or backward (whichever way it will move) and then moved the rear lever. Both should be in the "middle" slot. It is possible that you have it stuck into 2 gears at the same time.

well i jacked up the rear and started the truck and let out on the clutch dadada da, and after screwing with it i got it out of 3rd. thank god!
