Scallop paint jobs

I'm looking for some pics of 67-72 chevy pickups with scallop paint jobs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. Jason

Re: Scallop paint jobs

That looks totally bad ass man. did you fill in the sidemarkers, or does it have panels off a 67?
An old opel and a 70 - 74 camaro in the back ground.... pretty awsome.
I did something like that a couple years ago... I kinda miss the old turd. My longhorn is going to get a coat of semi gloss here real soon.
This is the last known pic of my old 69 GMC (with a 69 chevy front clip..the GMC parts foun d there way onto my longhorn) I sold it as a parts junker, the guy who biught it from me (Chevye...a member here) said his friend is thinking of slappin an engine in it and putting it back on the road. It was too nice to junk, but too rough to restore.
And I was too broke to do anything to it.

Re: Scallop paint jobs

The old owner did all the body work and replaced the bed sides and front fenders with aftermarket ones that didnt have the marker holes. I purchased it in May of this year off of Ebay.

Re: Scallop paint jobs

Welcome from Austin. Can't you with the scalloped paint but someone here will I'm sure.

The Opel GT brings back memories of high school. They were called a poor man's vette.

Re: Scallop paint jobs

I just got done replacing the 283 with a mild 350 in the truck. It scoots right along now. The opel and the camaro are both 72's. The GT is still driven for short errands every now and then.
