I have the manual brakes on my 67 fleetside c10 I was woundering what it would cost me to put them on the front and maybe the back.If anyone has any imput of the sort I will say thanks now Also is it easy and where can I get them thanks for everthing

All depends if you just junkyard a setup, buy a 71 or 72 crossmember/frame, or buy a kit.

I bought a 71 frame and am rebuilding the front crossmember for my 68. All together it will probably cost me as much as a kit, but I also got a 12bolt posi, frame, and a trailing arm.

yeah a kit is pretty expensive at least where im looking it like $8-1200.00 I really dont want to pasy that now as far as junk yards go there isnt much around here.

You can use the front crossmember out from under a 73-87, lot easier to find and cheaper to replace parts on.

I think that's what the kits are based on...allows for a wider range of replacement parts.

If you do upgrade use all the parts from the donor ie tie rod, a-arms, and associated ball joints...the works.

no kit needed. unbolt entire crossmember and suspension assy out of 71 to 83 bolt it in place of yours. i think i read somewhere you may have to elongate a couple of holes. gives you the disks you want and probably power steering. i had a 67 frame that this was done to...you will probably have to dimple your frame a bit for the steering box also. i bet someone has pictures they can post for ya.

It's actually 71-87 trucks, and 71-91 Suburbans that can be donors.
