blazer this year, where do you reccomend putting the air tank or tanks?

OK so I want to bag my truck also, I want to use the Slam Specialties bag after reading so much about them here, but there are so many options, RE7, RE8, HE7, HE8, I know that R's are 200 and H's are 400lbs. which one do you guys recomend!!! (Oh ya I got a 67 fleet short..)

Looks Good! That is a tall bumpstop in your notch, is that the one that came with it? The reason I ask is that my notch came with a much shorter one. It might could get you another inch closer to the dirt.

Hey..... did I see you driving to Home Depot on Saturday? I noticed a white 67~68 that had ralleys & was lowered. I was behind it driving up HWY66 & then it pulled into HD so I didn't get a better look.

Yeah, these are just some I already had. I didn't get any with the C-notch for some reason. I think I will try to get some shorter ones and use these on the front. Good Eye!

Where have you guys bought c-notches that came with short bumpstops? I'm going to be buying a notch sometime in the next few weeks (if all goes as planned), and was going to buy from CPP, but not if I can get one with proper bumpstops someplace else. Sorry to hijack the thread, just want to ask while it's on topic!

I got my c-notch kit from CCP and it came with short bumpstops. My ART rear airbag kit also came with a set of short bumpstops.

How is the load carrying capacity of airbag systems such as the one you're installing on your truck (looks awesome by the way!)? Is it merely a factor of the airbags? Compressor/airtank size? No difference?

I assume that SMC valves can be mounted in any position, does anyone know otherwise before I drill a bunch of holes?

He won't mind, but you will. That ViAir compressor is a noisy mofo. It's about 10x louder than the Thompson compressors n2billet installed.


If I were you I would consider mounting it at the rear. Here's mine....

I think they would have to be some very thin tanks to put them under the floorboards on a 72, the 73 and later I think have a lot more space.

Hey luv, take off the left and right rocker box covers and try to figure out a way to slip the tanks in the holes if they will fit and run the air lines out the back cover. I dont know, just a thought.

I'm scared to look at them, I havn't had this Blazer on the rack yet,
for all I know there might not be any rocker boxes under there

You can mount the tanks for your Blazer in the rear...
