If you haven't pulled the engine yet take a real good look at clearance on the pan to cross member and dist. to firewall. Some of the old trucks had tall motor mounts. You can change them to a later model and gain 2 to 3 inches. Its been to long for me to remember what years work. That was before all the junkyards crushed everything so might be harder to pull off now days. I don't know what you have in mind for your truck but tunnel ram with 2 4 barrels and stock hood?
