Pics of Progress
Just thought I'd put up a few pics of what I've been working on the past few weeks. Thanks to all the board members and vendors for your help in getting me to this point. Still a lot to do though.

Re: Pics of Progress
What did you use to clean and paint the firewall with?
Looks awesome, and is the only regret I have with my truck, is that I never painted the firewall...

Re: Pics of Progress
Looks very nice That made a huge difference. Not trying to pick any nits here, but these fender liners look way to ugly for that motor. Time for some fresh satin black...

Re: Pics of Progress
I see you are running a 3/4T disc brake dual diaphram booster with a drum brake master cyl. How well does it work? I have never seen that combination together before. I know the booster rod and MC hole are different. Did you make a plug for the MC or a longer rod for the booster?

Re: Pics of Progress
Thanks guys for the nice comments
Frenchblue, Matthufman and Mechdog- it IS a cobra style air cleaner, sorry but see my sig. Old Chevys and New Fords I got it off evilbay. I let it go once but the seller relisted and I couldn't stand it. I knew it would look cool with the valve covers. It's a nice heavy piece not a POS. Matt67350, jsbgump, Bowtie67 and teeitup- Ya'll should recognize some parts. Russell- I used a degreaser made by Casteroil(greased lightning?) and Easy-Off. I wiped it down good with laquer thinner and painted with good old Rustoleum semi-gloss black. N2TRUX- but the pass side is rusted through under the battery and the driver side has a gash where a fan blade has passed through at some point in it's life. I believe I have a new coresupport lined up but need liners and a battery tray. I thought I'd hammer the gash shut and practice welding it back shut before I start on my cab. PICKMUP- I picked up the booster thinking worst case I could use it as a core. I hooked it up and it worked so I cleaned it up and there it is. If I'm not carefull everything in the seat WILL wind up in the floor. There is no rod between the booster and mc. The plunger on the booster seems to mate perfectly with the mc piston. I'm not real familiar with the differences in the boosters, but this thing will stop RIGHT NOW if I need it to, even with 4 wheel drums. I was/am concerned about not having a rod between the mc and booster. If I'm going to get hurt running like this, please let me know!
