Arrow Front End Swap

My 76 Chevy truck is a little banged up in the front, so a friend gave me a whole front clip from an 85 truck, and everything will bolt up the same except for the hood hinges, should I modify my cowl area for the newer style hood hinges which are recessed in this area, and then drill holes to bolt them up, or has anyone done this swap before and want to share some ideas.

I already have a good idea on what needs to be done, but any help or ideas would be appreciated,

Thanks,

ANDY
